NRA Conventional Bullseye Competition
The fundamental unit of competition has various names depending on the distance fired, but consists of:
- Slow Fire, 10 shots in 10 minutes
- Timed Fire, two five-shot strings fired in 20 seconds each
- Rapid Fire, two five-shot strings fired in 10 seconds each
This gives a total of 30 shots for a total of 300 points. Fired three times, this constitutes a 90 shot,
900 point match.
At the National Championships the 90-shot match is fired once with a .22, once with a .45 and once
with the centerfire gun of the shooter's choice for a total of 270 shots and 2700 points.
Local competitions may consist of 30 to 270 shots.
